Erzulie Freda:

Erzulie Fréda Dahomey is the graceful and enchanting loa of love, beauty, sensuality, femininity, and luxury. Known for her breathtaking charm, she embodies elegance, pleasure, compassion, and the finer things in life. She is often compared to the Yoruba goddess Oshun due to their shared connection to love and femininity.

Erzulie Fréda is frequently called upon for matters of the heart, beauty, and wealth, yet her powers extend beyond, as she is also a fierce protector against evil and all forms of black magic. Her iconic symbol is the heart, and her colors are soft pink, blue, white, and shimmering gold. She adores offerings that celebrate beauty and indulgence, such as jewelry, perfumes, sweet cakes, and liqueurs. She wears three wedding rings, each symbolizing her union with her husbands, Damballa, Agwe, and Ogun. She is also sister to the fierce loa, Erzulie Dantor.

During possession, Erzulie Fréda may enter the body of either a man or woman, playing the role of the flirt, charming all without distinction. Though she loves freely, she knows that she can never attain her deepest desire, which often leaves her with a heavy heart, and may cause her to leave services in tears of sadness, joy, or frustration.

Coquettish and with a fondness for all things luxurious, Erzulie Fréda is the very essence of femininity, showering her devotees with love, wealth, luxury, and spiritual blessings. However, she also carries a more complex side: while generous and loving, she can also be jealous, spoiled, fickle, and demanding, revealing the full spectrum of her powerful personality.
