Ochosi:

Ochosi is honored as the Orisha of the wilderness, a master hunter, and a skilled fisherman. He makes his home deep in the forests, where he moves silently among the trees, tracking his prey with unparalleled precision. Known for his unmatched marksmanship, Ochosi never misses his target when he draws his bow. As a protector of nature and all its creatures, Ochosi holds wild animals in his care, with a special fondness for birds of prey like falcons and hawks. He is also fond of dogs and stands as patron for those who work with them. Those who abuse dogs, however, will find no mercy from him.

Ochosi is also revered as the Orisha of justice and fairness. He embodies the essence of blind justice, courageously defending the innocent and standing firmly against inequality. He is a champion for those seeking justice, especially individuals wrongfully accused or victimized. However, to seek Ochosi’s intervention, one must be in the right. For those with truth on their side, Ochosi swiftly delivers justice, ensuring that wrongdoers are held accountable.

Beyond individual justice, Ochosi is a force for fairness and harmony in society. His presence helps maintain balance in the world, ensuring that all living beings are treated with respect and dignity. He is deeply connected to the natural world, working tirelessly to preserve its balance and protect its beauty.

Ochosi’s connection to justice extends into the spiritual realm. Through his powerful visions and shamanic abilities, he guides spiritual growth and understanding. He is often called upon in rituals and ceremonies focused on divination and the development of spiritual gifts, making him a vital force in both the physical and spiritual worlds.
